Download files with file name

Could there be a way to have files download with the given file name (when uploaded; i.e. John D.) instead of the series of numbers and letters (i.e. 25673ndjhkhiudh736837)?

Agreed. Other Practice Management allow download with file name so providing it as an option when downloading to secure device instead of requiring rename each doc would save much, much time.

this would save us SO MUCH time! i understand that some may say it would violate HIPAA but i do not agree. I'd be happy with Some sort of organization in file names! a series of numbers is ridiculous. it should at least name the file with initials followed by patient ID or some other non PHI info

I believe this is to comply with HIPPA.  It would be nice to have the option to download with the name when the document will be downloaded to a secure device, but otherwise default to a de-identified file name.  And to make it permission specific, so techs wouldn't be able to download docs with identifiable file names, etc.

I agree.  During audits, it is difficult to have to rename all documents.  What is the reason  it doesn't download the actual name that is given on CR
