When a code/authorization is updated, the provider and client signatures are wiped

This is a change that was recently made; when the original appt was coded with code A but then biller has to change the entry with code B, any previously collected signatures will be wiped. While I understand the reasoning, the client and employee are signing off on the time, so I'd like to request that CR does NOT wipe the signatures when the authorization/code is changed. Wipe it if the time, date or POS is changed, (time at the very least), but please do NOT wipe the signature when the biller needs to make a code change.
